Jose Mourinho has kicked off his reign as Manchester United manager in the best possible way, downing reigning EPL champions Leicester City 2-1 in the FA Community shield thanks to a Zlatan Ibrahimovic winner.

Jesse Lingard, who scored in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace back in May put United ahead just before half-time, running forty yards and beating four man to put the ball in the back of the net.

Last season's fairytale club were let back in the game after Marouane Fellaini's errant attempt at a back pass found Jamie Vardy who easily rounded keeper David De Gea to make it 1-1.

But as he most often does, summer signing Ibrahmovic had the final word. The 34-year old meeting Antonio Valencia's cross with his head to put the ball past Kasper Schmeichel's goal, handing the Red Devils the Shield.

The outspoken Swede staying true to his word in stating that this trophy would be the first he would bring home as a United player.

Not so long ago, Leicester brought and end to Mourinho's reign at Chelsea with a 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium in Decemeber of last year on their way to the title, however, this was a much a happier occasion for the Portuguese manager.
