Walkinshaw Racing has confirmed that they will be unleashing their 2017 Supercar challenger on the 6th of February.

“A new name. A new look. The same relentless passion. Get excited!” they said, referring to the fact th\at they have lost the official Holden Racing Team banner after the car giant opted to officially make Triple Eight Engineering their Holden factory team for 2017 and beyond.

Also, after losing Garth Tander at the end of the 2016 season, the team will be racing with James Courtney and new signing Scotty Pye.

“I have high expectations for the season. It's a great team,” Pye told the team's official website. “They showed it last year with the results they got, winning some of the biggest races of the year, so I think that we can all hope for really good things."

"I don't think anything other than [being] at the pointy end is going to be good enough for any of the guys at the team. They all deserve and expect me to be right at the front, so I'm looking forward to that.”
