Indycar racer Juan Pablo Montoya has voiced his opinion on who are the best drivers in the Formula One World Championship at the present moment, and triple world champion, Lewis Hamilton, isn’t one of them.

Speaking to the sport’s official website, Montoya, who raced in the pinnacle of Motorsports back int eh early 2000’s stated that Lewis may be winning races, but he is at the wheel of the best car on the grid and while that makes you a champion, it doesn’t mean you are the best.

To him, it’s the likes of Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso, have stood the test of time and proved that they are winners, even when not in the fastest car ….

"Vettel is probably one of the most complete guys, and also Fernando, I ran with him in my career. I think those are the two best drivers overall. Lewis does a really good job but he's in the best car. It's very easy to think that a guy in the best car is the best driver. But the question is, if they were not in the best car how would they handle things. Fernando and Sebastian have endured that and I think they are the best."
