During the recent British Grand Prix there was a brilliant duel between the Red Bull of Max Verstappen and the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel. The Red Bull had jumped the Ferrari at the start of the race and Vettel was desperately trying to get the place back, but was simply unable to do so on the track, taking to the pits a lap earlier than the Dutchman to perform the undercut.

However, while the battle was taking place, Vettel was throwing his hands in the air and complaining to his team, and in the process the FIA stewards, over the radio about Verstappen's actions. Speaking to the press afterwards, Vettel complained saying that Verstappen needed to stick to his line when defending his position.

Verstappen was not fazed by the German champions comments and explained that after what Vettel did to Lewis Hamilton in Bake, there is no way he is going to be taking any complaints Vettel has to say seriously anymore…

"I don't take that seriously. Especially not after all the things he did. If you look at the penalty points that he's got…” he was quoted as saying on Motorsport.com

When asked what he thought of his battle with Vettel at Silverstone the answer was simple….

“The fight with Sebastian was good. It was hard but fair, I think. That little bit of contact maybe not, but for the rest everything was okay."

So it seems that even if the FIA failed to implement further punishment to Vettel for his actions in Baku, they have caused him to lose a lot of respect from his fellow drivers.
