Red Bull racer Shane van Gisbergen won the second and final race of the day at the Pukeohe Raceway, race 25 of the 2016 season.

The Kiwi driver started from pole and despite a strong challenge from his teammate, who managed to get by him in the earlier race, Shane kept a firm hold on the lead to finish more than two seconds ahead of Jamie Whincup.

Chaz Mostert was a solid third place, a relief for the Prodrive racer after the issues he encountered in race 24, with Fabian Coulthard in fourth.

Mark Winterbottom lead home Will Davison, with Scott McLaughlin, David Reynolds, Michael Caruso and Garth Tander rounding out the top ten.
