Taz Douglas will be making a long awaited return to Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport with confirmation today that the 33 year old will partner young rookie racer, Alex Rullo at this weekend’s Clipsal 500.

Douglas was a full time driver for the team back in 2012 and has been co driver to several different drivers in the Enduro Cup, mainly James Moffatt in the Nissan while also competing in the Dunlop Series.

One thing is for sure though, he is more than eager to get back behind the wheel and mix it up with the big boys once again…

“I’m really looking forward to getting back into the car and being able to get some decent laps in,” he said. “There’s obviously more track – time than when racing in the Dunlop Series, so I can’t wait to get out there and just put my head down and do my best.”

“When Lucas gave me the call up, there was no other option than to say yes. Now I’m just going to make sure that I go out there and give it my all and bring the car home in one piece.”
