Although it was only a brief run for ‘filming purposes’, Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen reported that the new SF70H ran beautifully on the Fiorano circuit and now it’s on to Barcelona for the season opening test on Monday.

Kimi was the driver privileged with the new cars first outing over teammate Vettel and it was a case of so far so good…

“Obviously we didn’t go full speed, it’s the install lap and the very first lap with the new car so it all felt okay," he said. "It’s just the first touch, we get some more today, but the main work starts when we go testing in Barcelona. But so far so good and we’ll go from there."

The Maranello based squad will be in Barcelona for the next two weeks for two separate four day testing sessions before heading Down Under for the 2017 season opening race at Albert Park in Melbourne when the first real begins.
