Shane van Gisbergen made it two from two for the Red Bull Holden Racing team at the Symmons Plains Raceway today when he secured the best time of the second free practice session.

Teammate Jamie Whincup, who was quickest in the opening session, was fourth overall, with the two DJR Team Penskes slotting in nicely between the Red Bulls.

There were several offs, mainly all at turn two, and the red flags came out when a Mobil 1 HSV Holden became beached in the gravel.

Team Vortex’s Craig Lowndes was under investigation when the session came to a close for not following the Red Flag rules.
