Last week, the new Silver Arrows car for the 2017 Formula One Championship season was started up for the first time.

This was a very special and proud moment for the entire Brackley based squad which meets up every year for the initial 'fire-up'.

"For me, it's the most exciting moment of the year," says Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Toto Wolff. "All the hard work that has gone into the production and design of thousands of parts comes together as the car is miraculously sparked into life. This is a fantastic moment."

The new F1 W08 Hybrid is to be officially unveiled at Silverstone on 23rd February.
