19 down, two to go… and Brazil is next!

Interlagos is a race week that both Toro Rosso drivers, Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat enjoy, and it seems like it won't be any different this time. Even though they are far from being in the hunt for the world championship, both drivers can't wait to be back in action!
Carlos Sainz: Brazil, a nice one coming up! Daniil, what comes to your mind when you think of this race, a part from…

Daniil Kvyat: …Girls! [He beats Carlos to saying it]

Carlos Sainz:  Haha! Yes, pretty girls! You're going red!

Daniil Kvyat:  You are too! [They giggle together]. Brazil is also all about an interesting track and good food – good meat to be precise!

Carlos Sainz: Yes, very good meat! The Brazilian meat restaurants are the best, because you can eat as much as you want… Until you explode!

Daniil Kvyat:  We'll need to go easy… But it's so tempting to just eat meat the whole time you are there!

Carlos Sainz:  Another thing I like about the country is its people, they are very passionate! The fans that attend the race really live it intensely, make a lot of noise and have a lot of fun!

Daniil Kvyat:  You very often get to hear the samba music coming from the grandstands, it's nice! What I also like is the circuit layout – it's an anti-clockwise one…

Carlos Sainz:  So we need to train our necks well for this one!

Daniil Kvyat:  Yes, if not we'd suffer! So, the track is quite short but its good fun and interesting to drive. The most exciting parts are the first three turns – the Senna S – and I also enjoy turns 6, 7 and 8. Do you agree?

Carlos Sainz:  I do. It also has a lot of history, it's a track where many World Champions have been crowned and where there's been some very good racing in the past. Another thing I like about it is the small paddock – it's friendly and cosy! For example, when you're having breakfast outside during the race weekend, you see and talk to many more people than usual – other team members, drivers, media, fans… - and it's very different to other tracks where the space is too big to see anyone.

Daniil Kvyat:  And the weather can also be very interesting!

Carlos Sainz:  True, but it hasn't been in the last couple of years… We need some rain this time!

Daniil Kvyat:  Rain, please come! Let's do a rain dance!

Now that's something we'd like to see! But, rain or no rain, what we're sure about is that the Toro Rosso boys will give it their best once again, after eating some delicious Brazilian 'churrasco', of course!
