Aside from the team personnel and drivers on duty at this week’s first testing session of the 2017 Formula One Championship season, there was another familiar face watching the action with interest, 2016 F1 champion Nico Rosberg.

Hanging out in the Mercedes garage, the retired German driver took the opportunity to spend time with his racing family and see just how fast the new cars really were.
He certainly wasn’t disappointed…..

“It’s good to be back, it’s good to see my racing family again,” he said. “There’s such a massive hype in Formula One at the moment. I wanted to see the new cars first hand. They look absolutely monstrous – very aggressive – and everyone is excited."

"It’s great to see. The drivers seem to be loving the new cars so far. I think they will turn the drivers into proper gladiators out on track. The cars will take them to their limits and we might even see drivers losing race wins because they’re physical drained.”
