The Queensland Raceway, home to this weekend's Ipswich Supersprint, is a good example of his looks can be deceiving.

A simple enough layout as most refer to the paperclip, on paper it looks like the easiest track on the Supercar calendar, but that couldn't be further from the truth if you tried.

The six turn track is run on a completely flat layout, but that's not what makes it hard, that is left to the differing demands between the high speed needs of turn one and two and the slow needs of the remainder of the lap.

Erebus racer Dave Reynolds is looking to continue his strong form from Townsville and hopefully make it to the podium for the first time in his Supercar career.

“Queensland and I have a hate-hate relationship; it hates me and I hate it. I've had a couple of fourth-places but have never got on the podium. It's a very unique track where the first sector with the two right-hand corners is fast, and the rest of the lap is quite slow,” he explained.

“There are so many lines you can take and as a driver it can be confusing, I've seen fast cars take the traditional line and square off the corner and ones hug the inside. For me, I'll stick to one line for the entire weekend and try to make my car suit that style of line, and not copy what the other fast guys are doing.”

“We have learnt a lot from the last round; every time we leave a meeting we have a clear understanding of what we have done and where we're heading and I think some teams don't and that's where we have an advantage.“

This weekend fans will see the return to the familiar SuperSprint format with a 120-kilometre race on Saturday and 200-kilometre on Sunday.

Luke and Chris will also make a return, with the two stepping back in the car on Friday, for the Additional Driver's Practice.
