Political correctness out the window for Preston Hire at Sandown

Lee Holdsworth and Karl Reindler will showcase a new head-turning livery when the Enduro season kicks off for round ten of the 2017 Supercars Championship at the Sandown 500 in two weeks time.

The Retro Livery will certainly stand out as a “Old Vs New” take on the Sandown Event, with the Preston Hire Commodore taking on the historic name and colour of Preston Erection.

Lee is excited for the Enduro season to start and is looking forward to showcasing the new livery with Karl Reindler, who he will partner with in the Endurance Cup for a second successive season. They are only 1 of 9 driver combination pairings that remain intact from 2016.

Last season they finished P12 at Sandown despite suffering damage and are looking forward to hitting the track together again to hunt for some valuable championship points that will hopefully allow Lee to advance into the top ten in the standings.

“So pumped to kick off the endurance season! The Sandown 500 is one of my favourite events and the retro theme adds to the excitement, especially with our cool livery which will be a big talking point. Karl and I were pretty quick in race trim last year so I’m looking forward to challenging for a top result.”

Previously named Preston Erection from 1969 until 2001 and brandished in pink when servicing the Sydney Metro area, Preston Hire are giving the Supercars audience a look into their early beginnings before political correctness kicked in.
