While MotoGP is gearing up for its first pre-2017 season test next week, Formula One fans have another month to wait before the new cars roll out.

The first official test of the season will take place at Spain’s Barcelona Circuit on the 27th of February and it has now been confirmed that this session will include a wet tyre testing day.

While the FIA did grant sole tyre supplier, Pirelli, with a two day wet weather test running a mule car, the Italian company insists that teams get a taste of the new wet weather rubber ahead of the season opening Australian Grand Prix in March.
