Melbourne City has confirmed that Aaron Mooy has left the club, signing with sister club, Manchester City.

Mooy has signed a three-year deal with the Premier League side.

The 25-year-old has been one of the stars of the A-League since joining the club in 2014, netting 18 goals in 53 league appearances.

The midfielder also recorded a competition record 21 assists during the 2015-16 campaign.

“Aaron is an extremely talented player who possesses the attributes we hope to foster and encourage within the City Football Group," City Football Services managing directory, Brian Marwood said.

“With the unique model CFG provides, Aaron's move to Manchester allows us to further expose him to a high standard of opportunities to ensure his professional growth.”

Meanwhile, City has also confirmed that loan signing of Luke Brattan from Manchester City for the 2016-7 season, while Anthony Caceres has extended his loan spell for another season.
