After a big weekend of NFL action, let's take a look at the big winners and losers from the Week 2 games. (Disclaimer: One game to come this weekend, Bears v Seahawks)

Loser: Kickers

The kicking curse to start Season 2018 ran wild once again as three teams missed out on victory thanks to wayward kicking. The Browns' Zane Gonzalez missed a late extra point and long field goal to give Cleveland another overtime chance.  Packers kicker Mason Crosby nailed a 52 yard field goal only for the Vikings to call a timeout just before, on the subsequent try Crosby missed at the end of regulation. Then, for the Vikings, kicker Daniel Carlson missed his chance to win the game in overtime from 35 yards but missed also. Dirty day for the kicking club.

Winner: Pat Mahomes

The young Chiefs quarterback now has the record for the most touchdown passes thrown after Week 2 following a six touchdown performance against the Steelers. Mahomes now has 10 touchdown passes already. The gunslinger made 23 of 28 passes for 326 yards as his side wernt 2-0 to start this year.

Loser: Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals were soundly beaten in Los Angeles by the Rams and failed to put a score on the board as Sam Bradford threw for only 90 yards for the day. The lack of offence was not helped by a lack of sound defence either as the Rams did what they wanted to the struggling team.

Winner: Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars made a big statement to the AFC after beating the Patriots at home in fairly convincing fashion, even without star running back Leonard Fournette. Blake Bortles starred, throwing for 377 yards and even rushing for 35 yards as the offence clicked for the Jags.

Loser: Baltimore Ravens (and by default the Buffalo Bills)

After destroying the Bills on opening weekend, the Ravens looked no match for Cincinnati  and struggled to limit the running game of Joe Mixon who rushed for four yards a carry. On the reverse side, the Ravens could hardly run the ball and Joe Flacco threw the ball 55 times for only 32 completions. The team desperately needs to decide who the man is. Is it Joe Flacco or Lamar Jackson.

Winner: Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys showed up in a big way on Sunday night football, easily accounting for NFC East rivals the Giants. Dak Prescott averaged 10 yards per completion and Ezekiel Elliott rain at 4.6 yards a carry including a touchdown. Maybe last week was too early to say they definitely can't play in the postseason.
