About:
Andrea Dovizioso has been racing bikes since the tender age of 7 and it didn’t take him long at all to start chalking up titles next to his name. At 14 years of age won the Aprilia Challenge on his debut followed up by another title the following year.
He made his Moto debut in 2001 as a wild card entry which he followed up with a full season in the 125 class in 02 with the Scot Honda Team, eventually taking the crown two years later.
He then spent two seasons in 250 class before moving into the MotoGP category in 2008 where he raced with Honda until the end of 2011 and fter ten years with Honda he made the change to Yamaha Tech 3 in 2012. The following season he had impressed Ducati enough fir them to offer him a full time factory ride where he remains today. For 2017 he will have a new teammate in Jorge Lorenzo and it promises to be a thrilling year for both men as they attempt to bring Ducati back into the winners circle on a regular basis.
