Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo has clinched the first pole position of 2016 in the Qatar MotoGP.

The reigning world champion finished 0.091 seconds ahead of second placed Marc Marquez.

Suzuki's Maverick Vinales finished in third place to round out the front row.

Australia's Jack Miller will start from 18th in his maiden race with new team Marc  VDS.
