After taking part in back to back races, both on legendary streets circuits such as Pau and Monaco, Formula Renault 2.0 driver Thomas Maxwell is looking forward to a month’s break before he takes to the track for the next round of the championship.
The next race will see the young Aussie racer return to the Monza circuit in Italy at the end of June when he will contest the first of two rounds of the Formula Renault Northern European Championship. Thomas raced on the Monza circuit earlier this year and he is looking forward to returning to a proper racetrack rather than the street circuits he has just contested.
“I’m excited to be heading back to a purpose build track, I really loved the experience of racing on these two street tracks and hopefully it’ll benefit heading back to a normal circuit,” said the Tech 1 Racing driver.
Following this Thomas will head to Budapest in Hungary for the next round of the Eurocup series on the Hungaroring Circuit on July 2.
During his months break from racing, Thomas will return to his native Australia for a bit of well-earned relaxation time with friends and family.
