Although there has been no official confirmation, reports online are indicating that Williams offer to Felipe Massa in regard to a return to the Formula One Championship have been accepted meaning that the Brazilian will make a shock return to the sport he retired from last month.

If the report on Motorsport.com is to be believed, this means that the Grove based squad must have come to a deal with Mercedes to release Finnish racer, Valtteri Bottas to race alongside Lewis Hamilton in 2017 because Williams team boss Claire Williams has already stated that the only way they would left their number one driver leave would be if Massa did an about turn and returned to mentor rookie racer, Lance Stroll.

The amount offered to Felipe to give up his plans of a slow and steady 2017 is rumoured to be 5 million pounds, the same amount that is said to be offered by Mercedes for Bottas.
