Fernando Alonso was once again fourth fastest on what is known as ‘Fast Friday' ahead of qualifying for the 101st running on the Indianapolis 500, which will run at the Brickyard next weekend.

The McLaren Honda Formula One driver, who is taking part in the Indy 500 for Andretti Autosport, clocked a speed of 231.827 mph, to finish fourth overall behind the fastest man of the day Sebastian Bourdais who was clocked doing 233.116 mph.

Ryan Hunter-Reay and Takuma Sato, who also drive for Andretti Autosport, were second and third quickest, but were not that much faster than the Spaniard, who has a real shot at pole position.

The day had started out wet which caused a delay in the days running.
