About:

Our second rookie for the 2017 season, even if he does have one race under his belt when he stood in for Fernando Alonso in the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Stoffel won the GP2 title in commanding style in 2015 and F1 was the next obvious move in his young career. On his debut in Melbourne last year he showed the team what he was made of by coming home in tenth place in a car that really shouldn’t have finished in the points at all. With Alonso to guide him in 2017 as he gains more and more experience, it is expected that Stoffel will soon be in a position to score podium finishes, if the team can fix their reliability issues.
