About:

Up until Esteban Ocon came on the scene 18 months ago, Romain was the only French representative in the sport. Starting out with Renault in 2008 as a reserve driver, where he had his first taste of F1 power at the British Grand Prix. He graduated to a race seat at Renault in 09 however it only lasted the one season before he was replaced by Vitaly Petrov. After that he tried his hands in various disciplines such as sportscar racing, AutoGP and GP2 before returning to the pinnacle of Motorsports with Lotus for the 2012 season. He remained there until 2015 when it was confirmed that he would race for the all new American F12 team, HaasF1 in 2016. He scored all of the team’s 29 points for the season and as such retained his seat for the 2017 season where he plans on an even better.
