V8 Supercar Veteran racer, Craig Lowndes is extremely proud of the new team that carried him to fourth place in the 2016 series championship, especially as it was their first year together as an extended arm of the Triple Eight Engineering squad.

“I am especially proud of my guys at TeamVortex,” Craig said in his column for Tyre Power. “Putting together a new collaboration of guys and girls to work together successfully as one group, under the TeamVortex banner, was always going to take time to find its feet.”

With their debut season together now a thing of the past, Craig is looking ahead to the challenges that 2017 will bring as together with Team Vortex they plan to improve on this year’s accomplishments…

“But we’ve done that, we have a group that’s gelled well, and we head toward 2017 confident of a very competitive year. Right now I’m enjoying the break and some family time, but I know it won’t be long before I’ll be thinking about going even better next season.”
