Alex Rullo has been dropped by Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport and will be replaced by Jack Perkins with immediate effect.

LDM and Rullo came to a mutual decision yesterday afternoon to terminate their contract and go their separate ways.

This means that Jack Perkins will be part of the team's line up at Pukekohe for the ITM Auckland SuperSprint this coming weekend.

“We couldn't come to an agreement regarding next year, so both parties decided it was best to split now,” said Lucas Dumbrell about the decisions to terminate Rullo's contract. “It was a mutual decision. We thank Alex for his efforts this year and I wish him all the best for the future.”

“It's good to have Jack (Perkins) back on board. He's been a friend of mine for a long time and is a notable back up, having filled in for us before.”

Perkins last substituted drive was in 2015, when he replaced an injured Nick Percat at the Sydney 500.  Jack will also take on the challenge at the Coates Hire Newcastle 500 from November 24 – 26.

“I'm looking forward to having a drive in the car and any chance to cut some laps in this category is great,” said Perkins “Pukekohe is a circuit that I have had great results at in the Supertourers (in New Zealand). “Hopefully we can push for some improved results for the team.”
