Melbourne Victory vice-captain Leigh Broxham has signed a two-year contract extension.

Boroxham, who will this week play this 200th A-League match, will remain at the Victory until at least the end of the 2017-18 season.

"It's been an incredible honour to represent a great club like Melbourne Victory for the last decade and I'm looking forward to that continuing into the future," Broxham said.

"I'm grateful for the opportunities Victory has given me since I arrived as an 18-year-old and I'm proud of what the club has achieved in that time.

"I'm as committed as ever to playing my part for the team, as we strive for more success in the A-League."

Melbourne Victory take on league leader Western Sydney Wanderers at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
